RESPONSIBILITIES: The next Director of the Harbor Conservatory will: • Provide artistic and administrative leadership and supervision for an energetic and highly professional team of music, theater and dance educators including management of all aspects of the day to day operations of the Harbor Conservatory. • Demonstrate visionary leadership which explores the potential of the Conservatory and builds upon the strengths of the performing arts and the arts education landscape in accordance with the Harbor’s vision and mission. • Develop a strategic plan for the Conservatory which will include annual and long range goals, objectives and operating procedures (e.g., performances, workshops, rehearsals, program themes, special events, etc.). • Foster positive attitudes, team spirit and trust working with staff, faculty and families to enhance programming success and set standards for excellence… QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have demonstrated successful leadership in the field of performing arts education. An advanced degree in the performing arts, music or music education as well as senior management experience is essential. Fluency in Spanish strongly desired.
